You Are a Light

Community outreach never stops. It's more than one person sitting in an office or handing out pamphlets. I may be the Community Outreach Coordinator, but community outreach belongs to all of us.

With your help, we build trust within our community. People may not know me yet, but they know you. They may be scared, uncertain, or searching for someone they can trust, and often, you're the person they'll turn to first. They may drive past Alight every day without giving it a second thought, but when you share your confidence in us and recommend Alight to someone in need, we become more than just a building. We become a trusted resource.

Without you, we are missing one of our greatest strengths. Every conversation, every invitation, and every recommendation helps connect someone to hope. Take a moment and remind yourself:

"I help the community trust Alight before they ever need it."

Women often come to us carrying fear, uncertainty, shame, and pressure from the people around them. Many feel rushed to make a decision before they've had time to process what they're experiencing.

At Alight, we protect each woman's dignity, honor her ability to make informed decisions, provide a safe place to ask questions, and offer the clarity and support she deserves.

When we meet with women who are unsure, overwhelmed, or afraid of making the wrong choice, our message is simple:

"You are welcome here."

"Take your time."

"We are here to listen, not to judge."

We hope every woman leaves feeling able to say:

• "I don't have to decide everything today."

• "I'm allowed to ask questions."

  
  

• "I'm not alone."

  
  

• "There's a place where I can talk honestly."

  
  

Ask yourself:

If I were overwhelmed, unsure, or afraid of choosing wrong, where would I go? Who would I trust enough to ask for help?

That's where you come in.

This summer, we're inviting our community to help women stay Calm, Cool, and Collected.

Calm: A place to breathe when life feels overwhelming.

Cool: Clear information without pressure or judgment.

Collected: The confidence to make an informed decision at your own pace.

During medical office hours, our goal is to sponsor two women each day for two months, giving them access to pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and a compassionate place to pause before making life changing decisions.

To make that possible, we're working to raise $10,000 by July 17. Every gift helps provide women with compassionate care, accurate information, and the time and space they need to make informed decisions.

Our goal is simple: to help every woman and family understand who we are before they ever need us.

We want every person who walks through our doors to know:

"You will be treated with respect here. Your experience matters, and your privacy is important to us."

"It's okay to slow down. You're allowed time to think, ask questions, and breathe."

"Your story doesn't have to follow anyone else's expectations."

Our mission is to provide clear answers, real options, and compassionate support, meeting each person exactly where they are. Community outreach isn't a department. It's a relationship. Every conversation you have, every invitation you extend, and every story you share helps someone discover there's a place they can turn before a crisis becomes overwhelming.
